We stepped into 20 plus gyms this season and there was not one player over 6’6 as versatile as Atticus Richmond, that includes junior college prospects. Richmond stands at 6 foot 8 and is now apart of the 2026 class. Currently Richmond is receiving interest from Boston University, Penn, Harvard, Vermont and others. Richmond is a player that does not always put up big numbers but his impact is made differently. Atticus is cut from a different cloth, he can defend anyone from 6’4 to 6’10 and his length allows him to alter shots better than any player in the state.
Watch the footage and you will see why Atticus made Top Floor Lobby’s Top 5 most overlooked prospects. Richmond has been consistent putting up around 12 points and 8 to 10 rebounds a game this season. What makes him stand out is his versatility defensively and offensively. He can shoot from the perimeter and score around the basket, without exact measurement the length of Richmond’s wingspan makes him 6 foot 10. Atticus can improve on being more demanding offensively however he is a team player that plays within the flow of the game.
Atticus Richmond is currently in pursuit of a State title this season as he plays for Stevenson where New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson played during his high school tenure. You can expect to see Richmond on the Under Armour Next circuit with the Illinois Wolves. You can watch highlights of Richmond from Top Floor Lobby, and you will see why he has earned the nickname, Mr. Versatility.
