VIDEO: HAYDEN SCHROEDER, UNDERCLASSMEN SETTING NEW HEIGHTS.

I’m pretty sure many of you are familiar with the quote “Start Unknown, Finish Unforgettable.” If you are not, well now you are. Hayden Schroeder a 6’8 post man from Wheaton Academy is already setting new heights as a sophomore this season. Schroeder is regarded as the best post prospect in Illinois at this current state.

This past week Hayden won Chicagoland Christian Conference Player of the Year and also became the youngest player in Wheaton Academy’s history to score 1,000 points. Schroeder’s 1,000-point milestone came when he posted 27 points and 10 rebounds. At the current moment Schroeder has yet to receive a scholarship offer but it’s almost certain that this young talent will be dialed in with Division I colleges once his high school season wraps up.

The first thing that jumps off about Schroeder is his size. At 6 foot 8, Schroeder is built like he eats his protein, weighing in close to 240 pounds already. He’s a tough match for anyone! You would not think that he is only a sophomore when watching him. He runs the floor well and he has a very soft touch around the basket. Sean O’Mara who played at Xavier University would be a parable player to Schroeder. Not only is Schroeder a growing post player, but he can also stretch the floor with his three-point shooting. Areas for improvement would be fine tuning his movements offensively and defensively. After studying his film, he can work on being more confident with his moves. As time goes on, he will become more polished as a player however he currently is the best post prospect in the entire State. You can watch Hayden Schroeder’s footage on Top Floor Lobby’s YouTube.
