VIDEO: VITO ROCCA, COMBINING TOUGHNESS + SKILL, 2027 SLASHER. By: @TopFloorLobby

Vito Rocca is a the next up and coming prospect to watch at Evanston Township. As you may or may not know, Evanston has been the most undervalued and overlooked team in the entire State from start to finish this season. Evanston features a well-balanced mix of veteran ship and underclassmen. Rocca happens to be the guy may seem to overlook on their roster.

With the season coming to an end, Evanston is still alive and may possibly have the greatest chance of capturing the State title besides Kenwood Academy who is currently ranked in the Top 15 in the nation. Evanston is coached by Illinois Hall of Famer, Mike Ellis and has wins over high IQ basketball teams such as Niles North, Loyola Academy, Benet Academy, La Lumiere Prep National, Alton and Lane Tech. The reluctancy to mention Evanston amongst the top teams in the State has been at an all-time high.

Vito Rocca is the guy Evanston needs in order to beat the odds. Rocca a 6’5 slasher in the 2027 class is highly overlooked. Why? Who knows! The youngin’ plays the game the right way. Vito will do whatever it takes to win. He favors former Indiana Pacer and North Carolina post, Tyler Hansborough, a versatile undersized post that plays with toughness. Rocca will rebound, defend, score, take charges, and do whatever it takes for his team to win. He can stretch the floor, and he can also fill the lanes very well. It’s not about being Division I with Vito, it just the simple fact of how he values and respects the game at such a young age.

If Vito grows anymore or adds more athleticism over the course of his career, most certainly he will be on Division I coaches radar. Be on the lookout for Vito Rocca as he rounds out our Top 10 Most Overlooked Prospects Regardless of Class in Illinois. You can watch his full highlights on Top Floor Lobby’s YouTube Channel.
