Yaris Irby has established his name around the state of Illinois over the course of his high school career and it is time that the masses understand who he is. Irby is a 5’10 point guard that can simply make plays! Yaris is a true playmaker. Being under 6 feet makes it very easy to be overlooked. Yaris Irby is overlooked however; many are familiar that he has game before the bright lights come on. You notice his abilities instantly during warm-ups.

Irby can simply score the ball from the perimeter or within mid-range, his step back middy is easy money every time. What many people holds against Yaris is out of his control, his size. Standing at 5 foot 10 there is no assessment needed to say he is the best scorer in the state under 6 feet. Irby’s scoring ability is so elite people overlook his ability to simply get others involve and be a playmaker.

Yaris is a senior to watch on the final recruitment trail this spring for the 2025 class. We are very curious on if he decides to go the Prep route or attend college however, he has game! As some of you may know Niles North has a great history for producing low Division I point guards like Malachi Nix and Aquan Smart. Irby may not be a favorite to play at the Division I level now but he can with time, and I know for sure that he would be a hell of a Division II caliber guard for a title contending program.
