As we round out our Top 25 Most Overlooked Prospects in Illinois there is only one class of 2028 freshmen who made the entire Top 25. Brady Jones of Metamora is the most overlooked prospect in his class. Unsure of who Jones will be on the AAU circuit with this spring and summer but Jones is one of the State’s most promising prospects, but many have yet to take notice.
Brady Jones stands at 6 foot 5 already and has great upside. He must improve his handle however he understands the basics of being a great shooting guard. If you watch the footage, Jones is great at cutting to the open spot and also, he is a very superb corner three-point specialist. Brady’s current assets have the mold to make him very elite at his position to compliment his size.
With Justin Dehm being Jones current high school coach, you can only prepare for him to understand being a great shooting guard and understanding what he needs to improve on throughout the next three years of his career. Many did not hear much about Jones but the footage of him against Illinois Top 4A team Evanston and one of Peoria’s best local teams East Peoria shows how promising Brady Jones’s future is to come.
