In elite high school basketball, raw talent catches attention quickly, but early poise, discipline, and sustained production create true stars. For four-star standout King Hernandez (Class of 2028), that spotlight arrived early and has grown brighter with every performance on the court.

Hernandez’s journey onto the national radar started before high school, securing his first Division 1 scholarship offer from Ole Miss while still in the 8th grade. Stepping onto the high school stage at The Walker School, he immediately made history as the only freshman to start for the varsity program. That debut campaign saw him earn First Team All-Region honors while piloting his squad straight to the Sweet 16. Raising the bar as a sophomore, Hernandez captured First Team All-State honors and guided his team to a state Final Four run.

His dominance extends far beyond the high school schedule. On the national Adidas 3SSB circuit, Hernandez proved his standing against the country’s best, securing First Team selections in Sessions 1 and 2, Second Team in Session 3, and collecting 3x Underclassman All-American honors. At just 16 years old, he has also tested his craft against grown men and pro-am talent in the AEBL, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.

Holding more than 31 Division 1 offers and serious interest—including Georgia, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Providence, Kennesaw State, and Jacksonville State—the recruitment race is well underway.
