That was the only phrase left in the building as Illinois freshman Keaton Wagler did the unthinkable. In one of the most hostile environments in college basketball—Mackey Arena, against the No. 4 Purdue Boilermakers—the freshman didn’t just survive; he took over.

46 Points. 13-of-17 Shooting. 9-of-11 from Three.

You read that stat line correctly. A freshman. On the road. Against a top-5 team.

This wasn’t just a scoring outburst; it was a surgical dissection. Wagler scored the Illini’s first 14 points of the game, setting a tone that he refused to let slip. Purdue threw everything at him—switches, hedges, double teams—and Wagler answered with step-back threes, tough finishes at the rim, and a calmness that bordered on disrespectful.

“He had 46 and could’ve been a selfish pig and said ‘I want 50,'” Illinois coach Brad Underwood said postgame. “He doesn’t. His game just flows.”
